Time Change in Poland: Trains to Halt for One Hour

Train halts in Poland during time change this weekend ensure no delays for passengers, with 12 PKP Intercity trains affected.

This upcoming weekend, from the night of October 26 to 27, 2024, Poland will transition from daylight saving time to standard time. During this shift, at 3:00 a.m., clocks will be turned back to 2:00 a.m. To align with the planned timetable, 12 PKP Intercity trains will halt for an hour at the nearest station.

    Affected Trains and Adjustments

The temporary pause will impact trains such as TLK Karkonosze, IC Przemyślanin, and others operating overnight. Each train will stop at its scheduled station for one hour before resuming its journey. For example, the TLK Ustronie train from Kraków to Kołobrzeg will pause at Ciechanów, and IC Uznam traveling from Świnoujście to Warsaw will halt at Poznań.

    No Delays for Passengers

Despite these hour-long pauses, passengers will not experience delays upon arrival at their final destination, as the adjustment has been accounted for in the timetable. The change is based on regulations issued by the Polish government in 2022.
