On November 11, 2024, Warsaw will host the XV annual Independence March under the motto, “The Power of a Great Poland is Us!” Starting at 2:30 p.m. from Dmowski Roundabout, this year’s event aims to gather over 100,000 attendees to celebrate Polish sovereignty and national pride.
Event Highlights
Participants will march through Jerusalem Avenue, cross Poniatowski Bridge, and conclude at the National Stadium. The event will feature family-friendly attractions, including a “Town of Independence” for children, patriotic vendors, and performances. A mass at All Saints Church kicks off at 11:00 a.m., followed by a rosary prayer at 1:20 p.m. at Dmowski Roundabout, with the march officially starting at 2:30 p.m.
Due to the march, many central Warsaw roads will be closed, affecting bus and tram routes. Public transport will be redirected, and only Metro lines at certain stations will allow access near the march route.
Purpose and Message
The slogan, “The Power of a Great Poland is Us!” reflects the organizers’ commitment to traditional values of sovereignty, economic strength, and family. The march also voices resistance to policies they view as eroding these values, emphasizing pride, independence, and Polish unity.
