Police in the Bielany district of Warsaw are actively searching for 65-year-old Wojciech Bednarski, who is evading law enforcement following allegations of child exploitation. According to the Warsaw Metropolitan Police, Bednarski is wanted for the sexual abuse of a minor under the age of 15.
The arrest warrant was issued by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Ostrołęka. Authorities report that the crime allegedly took place in 2022 during a children’s camp in the Wyszków region, where Bednarski was employed as a driver.
Standing approximately 180 cm tall and weighing between 50-70 kg, Bednarski has a slender build, blue eyes, greying hair, and noticeable gaps in his teeth.
Efforts to apprehend the suspect have faced challenges. In January 2024, Bednarski was reportedly located in Cambodia. However, due to jurisdictional limitations, the Polish warrant could not be enforced in the Southeast Asian country. Since then, Bednarski has been traveling across Asia while documenting his journey on a video blog.
The police urge anyone with information on Bednarski’s whereabouts to contact the Bielany police station at ul. Żeromskiego 7 or reach out via the following numbers: (47) 723 71 61, (47) 723 71 55, (47) 723 71 56, or the 24-hour emergency lines 112 and 997.
