Morawiecki Sounds the Alarm: “State Apparatus Turned Against Nawrocki to Boost Trzaskowski”

“The entire state apparatus and security services were mobilized to support Trzaskowski—by attacking the only candidate who, without question, had good intentions and genuinely sought to help others,” stated former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on TV Republika. In this way, the PiS (Law and Justice) politician commented on the leak of materials from the vetting procedure.

Journalist Renata Grochal, during broadcast on Trójka radio, while discussing Karol Nawrocki’s apartment—which the candidate had donated for charitable purposes—remarked:

“The statement that Interia revealed comes directly from the vetting procedure he underwent in 2021…”

This candid admission stands out, especially since media outlets sympathetic to the ruling camp have studiously avoided disclosing how they obtained this information.

Mateusz Morawiecki addressed the information shared by Grochal in his remarks on TV Republika.

“The leak of such materials from a preparatory proceeding is an unprecedented scandal. It means that the entire state apparatus and security services were engaged in assisting Trzaskowski—by attacking the only candidate who undoubtedly had noble intentions and wanted to serve people,”

the PiS politician emphasized.

He further stated, “The fact that 80% of the media supports the current government is evidence of a profound imbalance in access to truthful information.”

“You here at TV Republika are today an oasis of freedom—and I thank you for that as well,”

he added.

Morawiecki also drew attention to the contrasts between Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki.

“Trzaskowski is part of the Warsaw elite—he wants to represent the political ‘aristocracy’ that has been parasitizing the Polish nation for years. Karol Nawrocki is his complete opposite—he comes from a working-class background and seeks to represent their interests,”

Morawiecki concluded.
