Secret SB Collaborator Suspected of Poisoning a Priest Returns to Poland—Now Training Krakow Officials

Jolanta Lange (aka Gontarczyk), a former secret collaborator for the Polish communist-era Security Service (SB) with the codename “Panna,” and a suspect in the poisoning death of Father Franciszek Blachnicki, has returned to Poland. According to Piotr Woyciechowski, a specialist on intelligence services, Lange is benefiting from a protective “umbrella” and is now conducting lucrative training sessions on “inclusivity” for Krakow municipal officials.

Lange, who previously operated undercover for the SB’s Department XI alongside her husband, is accused of having spied on Father Blachnicki for financial gain and subsequently defaming him after his death. It has since been confirmed that the priest was poisoned, and the Gontarczyks were among the last individuals to have contact with him.

In 2023, reports emerged on Niezalezna.pl highlighting Lange’s political connections to prominent members of Poland’s Civic Platform (PO) party. It was revealed that Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski allocated nearly two million złoty from the city’s budget to her organization. This revelation was widely covered in Polish, Italian, and American media. Following the exposure, Lange left Poland and disappeared from the public eye.

However, recent reports indicate that she has returned and is now based in Krakow. Journalist Grzegorz Wszołek was the first to share this information on X (formerly Twitter).

According to Woyciechowski, Lange quickly secured a lucrative position in Krakow’s municipal structures. Her organization, Pro Humanum, received approximately 31,000 złoty from the city’s budget to deliver training sessions on “inclusive language” and “micro-inequities.”

The contract, signed in November, was reportedly facilitated by Ewelina Pytl, the equality advisor to Krakow’s Mayor Aleksander Miszalski. Woyciechowski described Pytl as a “well-known local activist for the Committee for the Defense of Democracy (KOD) and a leftist.”

He also shared excerpts from Lange’s CV, which details her role since 2017 as the coordinator of Warsaw’s Multicultural Center. During this time, her organization received 2.3 million złoty in funding under Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski and 4.5 million złoty during the tenure of former Mayor Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz.
