TV Republika has reported a dangerous incident that occurred last night in the city of Szczecin. The apartment of a woman who had hung an election poster of civic presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki on her balcony was fired upon with an air gun.
As the resident of Szczecin recounted to TV Republika, the incident took place during the night while she was watching television. At one point, she heard a loud bang.
“I called 112, explained what had happened, and said that I suspected the motive may have been political since I have a banner featuring Dr Karol Nawrocki on my balcony,”
the woman said in her statement to TV Republika.
She added that the banner had been hung on her balcony for several days.
The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
Commentator Robert Bagiński, who appeared as a guest on TV Republika, highlighted how differently the situation might have been received if it had involved someone displaying a banner of Rafał Trzaskowski.
“We’d be hearing an outcry that even the holidays were not respected,”
he remarked.
“This is the fruit of the hateful politics of Donald Tusk, the Civic Platform, and the entire circle that stokes tensions without any consideration for the consequences. And as we can see, the consequences could be tragic, as something extremely serious could have occurred,”
he emphasized.
