TV Republika: Poland’s Most-Watched TV Channel!

On January 31, 2025, TV Republika surpassed all other functioning TV stations in Poland. With a market share of 7.51%, it took the top spot in the rankings, leaving behind TVP1, Polsat, and TVN24.

Republika is number 1

On Friday, January 31, starting in the morning, the station of the Free Speech House was providing live coverage of events outside the home of Zbigniew Ziobro, the former Minister of Justice, “pursued” by the illegal Pegasus commission. While the police stood guard outside Ziobro’s house, and the politicians from the December 13 coalition assured that the officers knew exactly where the former minister was, the politician appeared on Republika’s broadcast, being at the television station’s headquarters.

Later, although he voluntarily went to meet the waiting police outside the building, he was not interrogated by the commission led by Magdalena Sroka. Why? Because its members decided to flee when the media circus began to wind down.

Nevertheless, all of this was broadcast live for Republika’s viewers.

Numbers don’t lie. On January 31, Republika was the most-watched TV channel in all of Poland. Not only in the ranking of news stations, but overall.

On the same day that the attack on the TV Republika station took place, the station achieved a viewership of 7.51%, outperforming its competitor TVN24, which recorded only 6.31%.

Additionally, TV Republika garnered an impressive 2.2 million views on its YouTube platform on that very day.

January the best in history

Another reason for celebration is that in January this year, Republika overtook its main competitor, TVN24. Looking at the results for the entire month, the Free Speech House station performed better than the one from Wiertnicza. It’s also worth noting the growing viewership dynamics for Republika.
