Krzysztof Bosak, a leading voice in the Confederation party, has made his stance clear—Rafał Trzaskowski must not win the presidency. Speaking on TV Republika, Bosak warned that the upcoming elections are more than just another political event; they are a fight for Poland’s future. He argued that the left-wing candidate represents a threat to national sovereignty, conservative values, and the stability of the nation.
Controversial Incidental Law
Bosak also criticized the controversial incidental law, calling its initial draft deeply flawed and rushed. He pointed out that the government attempted to exclude judges from the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs without proper consultation, which he believes is a clear attack on the judicial system. According to him, such legal manoeuvres threaten the integrity of the country’s institutions, and his party will not remain silent in the face of such manipulation.
The Dangers of a Trzaskowski Victory
As the conversation turned to the possibility of a Trzaskowski victory, Bosak did not hold back. He bluntly stated, “Trzaskowski must lose,” warning that if the left-wing opposition gains control, Poland could face radical changes that would be difficult to reverse. He described the opposition’s agenda as a “revolutionary plan” aimed at reshaping the nation in a way that many Poles would reject. The stakes, he argued, are simply too high to allow such a shift.
Trzaskowski: A Formidable Opponent
While some speculate that the Civic Platform might replace Trzaskowski with a different candidate, Bosak doubts this will happen. He acknowledged that Trzaskowski has made mistakes but also credited him with a well-organized campaign and strategic advisors. That, he said, makes him a formidable opponent and one that must be stopped. With Poland at a crossroads, Bosak urged conservatives to mobilize and ensure that the nation does not fall into the hands of what he calls “leftist radicals.”
