The Truth About the Attack on Błaszczak

Once again, Poland is witnessing a political witch hunt. This time, former Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak is under attack. Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar has moved to strip him of his immunity, alleging he overstepped his authority by declassifying Poland’s defence plans. But let’s be honest—this isn’t about security. It’s a calculated move to cover up past mistakes and punish those who dare to reveal the truth.

Who Really Wanted to Surrender Half of Poland?

The document Błaszczak revealed, known as “Plan WARTA-00101,” was created in 2011 under the PO-PSL government. It outlined a strategy in which Polish forces would retreat beyond the Vistula River in the event of a Russian invasion—essentially surrendering half of the country. Błaszczak’s so-called “revelation” was nothing new; this plan had been known for years.

As historian Professor Sławomir Cenckiewicz pointed out, “The strategic line on the Vistula had been discussed publicly long before Błaszczak revealed anything. It was mentioned during the ‘Winter-20’ exercises in 2021, where military analysts—including General Leon Komornicki, General Waldemar Skrzypczak, and General Mirosław Różański—openly talked about it”. Even Russian and Chinese sources had written about it long before Błaszczak declassified the documents.

Media Games and Political Attacks

The left-wing media, in cooperation with the current government, is working overtime to spin the narrative that Błaszczak endangered Poland’s security. But let’s not forget who really undermined national defence. These are the same people who dismantled military bases, cut funding for the army, and even allowed Russian intelligence to gain access to critical military sites.

Cenckiewicz exposed the hypocrisy of these so-called “experts” attacking Błaszczak now: “If you don’t read Polish media, Russian sources, or even Chinese reports, then maybe at least do some basic research before spreading lies”. The media’s selective memory is nothing short of astonishing.
