Adam Bodnar asked Zbigniew Ziobro on platform X whether he wanted, “together with his fellow prosecutors, to invalidate the October 15, 2023 elections using the Hermes analyses.” The PiS MP responded immediately.
“It was your overseers in Brussels who ordered the annulment of the elections in Romania, and you did not even understand the statement from your own prosecution service. It was about the migration referendum, not the elections,” the politician from the largest opposition party reminded Bodnar.
Ziobro to Bodnar: “You’re a gangster and a thug”
The exchange of remarks between Zbigniew Ziobro and Adam Bodnar began on March 17 of this year. At that time, the PiS MP published a post on X, in which he directly addressed Adam Bodnar, the Minister of Justice. The politician from the largest opposition party reminded the coalition representative about the illegal actions allegedly committed by the government he represents, referencing December 13.
“Yes, you’re a gangster and a thug. You ask why? Because you took over the National Prosecutor’s Office by force. You’re preventing the duly appointed National Prosecutor from performing his duties. Along with Tusk, you appointed an illegal usurper in his place. Without the involvement of the National Prosecutor, as required by law, you appointed heads of prosecutor’s offices at various levels. You replaced court presidents, violating the law—including the president of the Court of Appeals in Warsaw—without the consent of that court’s council,”
Ziobro wrote to Bodnar.
Continuing to address the current Minister of Justice, he added:
“You unlawfully removed judges from criminal divisions, judges who were appointed by the President with the participation of a democratic National Council of the Judiciary, and through your people, you manipulate the random assignment of judges, rigging political verdicts. You disregard binding decisions of the National Council of the Judiciary, you do not comply with Supreme Court rulings, and you participate in the criminal disabling of the Constitutional Tribunal.”
“You do not initiate investigations into numerous violations of the law by the ruling party and its associates, such as the mistreatment of detained officials at the Ministry of Justice—facts that were confirmed by the Commissioner for Human Rights. At the same time, you swiftly close investigations that were launched before the change of power. You have no issue assigning the ‘two towers’ case to prosecutor Wrzosek, which is a glaring breach of the fundamental principles of objectivity required by law,”
the PiS politician reminded Bodnar.
Ziobro to Bodnar: “You will inevitably be held criminally responsible”
Ziobro also specified the consequences Bodnar would face for his actions:
“You will inevitably be held criminally responsible for all of this. And if you think you’ll get away with it—despite your professor’s title—you have the mind of Winnie the Pooh, or you’re the most naive person in Poland. It’s not a question of if you will serve time, but when. And it will happen sooner than you think…”

Bodnar’s response
Adam Bodnar responded today to Zbigniew Ziobro’s words:
“Minister Ziobro, did you really, together with your fellow prosecutors, want to invalidate the October 15, 2023 elections using the Hermes analyses? Seriously?

Bodnar attached a link to a press release regarding the investigation into the Hermes software. The publication noted that “in November-December 2023, the Hermes software was used in an undertaking described as ‘Analysis for the purposes of the Prosecutor General’s position on the election protests considered by the Supreme Court in connection with the parliamentary elections held on October 15, 2023, and on the referendum protests,’ whose aim, among other things, was to determine ‘whether social media posts suggested improper conduct by members of the electoral commissions regarding the issuance of referendum ballots on October 15, 2023, and whether there were online calls to participate in or boycott the referendum.’”

Bodnar did not have to wait long for Ziobro’s reply. The PiS MP reminded Bodnar that it was his “Brussels overseers who ordered the annulment of elections in Romania.”
“You didn’t even understand the statement of your own prosecution service. It was about a migration referendum, not the elections. We discovered that for Soros’s and Biden’s thirty pieces of silver, you used lies and manipulations to lead to the annulment of the referendum and that you adopted the Migration Pact. As a result, thanks to your betrayal, we already have the first foreigners with machetes on the streets of Polish cities, and soon there will be thousands of them,”
Ziobro told Bodnar.
He added that the PiS MPs’ findings “were confirmed by the Americans, when, after Trump’s victory, they discovered that the previous administration gave you millions of dollars to fight the Polish right-wing government.”
