“Do not be fooled! Donald Tusk and Adam Bodnar’s team is deliberately stirring up social unrest, blatantly breaking the law,” wrote former Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro on social media. The Law and Justice (PiS) politician pinpointed the coalition’s latest — and scandalous — actions of December 13.
The death of Barbara Skrzypek, the release of Ryszard Cyba (a murderer serving a life sentence), and Roman Giertych’s provocations in the Sejm are just a few of the most recent “initiatives” of Tusk’s camp.
Although these moves certainly please the most hardline supporters of the Civic Coalition, known as “Silni Razem” (“Strong Together”), they actually work against Tusk’s party. This is illustrated by the latest poll conducted by the Pollster Research Institute for Super Express.
Its findings indicate that Law and Justice, together with Konfederacja (Confederation), could form a new parliamentary majority. Moreover, Jarosław Kaczyński’s party is now less than one percentage point behind the Civic Coalition in the election race.
Ziobro: They are doing this deliberately!
This afternoon, Zbigniew Ziobro, the former head of the Ministry of Justice, summed up the coalition’s actions of December 13. He warned, “Make no mistake!”
“Donald Tusk and Adam Bodnar’s team is deliberately inciting the public and ostentatiously breaking the law,”
wrote the PiS politician.
He called the release of Cyba—the murderer of PiS member Marek Rosiak—a clear provocation. He also pointed to Barbara Skrzypek’s death following a brutal interrogation allegedly carried out in gross violation of standard procedures for questioning a witness, as well as the assignment of the politically charged case to prosecutor Ewa Wrzosek, who he says is “blinded by hatred.” Adding to this, Roman Giertych “deliberately stirs up tension in the Sejm, provocatively attacking PiS Chairman Jarosław Kaczyński,” the politician noted.
Ziobro also referred to today’s further actions by Bodnar—what Ziobro calls the unlawful “dismissal” of Judge Przemysław Radzik from his role as Deputy Disciplinary Officer for Judges of Common Courts, and the moves against judges of the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS).
“And Bodnar knows full well that these acts constitute further crimes,”
he summed up.
“This is a planned provocation”
Ziobro emphasized that none of this is happening by chance.
“This is a planned provocation intended to escalate political tensions during the presidential campaign and distract from the colossal issues that the current government is failing to manage. It’s about the influx of migrants, the highest inflation on record driving people into poverty, and the mass layoffs caused by the economy-killing Green Deal. The authorities are playing with fire, ignoring the consequences,”
he concluded.
