Presentations of historical and modern weapons and demonstrations of historical reconstruction groups will be among the attractions prepared by the Armored Weaponry Museum in Poznań for the open day of the facility. On Sunday (15 August), the museum invites you to the celebration of the Polish Army Day.
The Armored Weaponry Museum in Poznań collects one of the most interesting collections of armored weapons in Europe. There are also, among others a unique, complete, roadworthy specimen of the Sturmgeschuetz IV self-propelled gun, the Rudy 102 tank – the star of the series “Czterej pancerni i pies” and tanks that starred in Steven Spielberg’s “Spy Bridge”.
According to the head of the facility, Lt. Col. Tomasz Ogrodniczuk, this Sunday (15 August), on the occasion of the Polish Army Day, the entire exhibition can be visited without buying a ticket. Additionally, the museum prepares a series of shows and surprises.
The biggest attractions of the day are to be presentations of historical and modern military equipment, shows of historical reconstruction groups, and the State Fire Service. The Land Forces Training Center in Poznań, the 14th Military Economic Division, and the 12th Wielkopolska Brigade of Territorial Defense will also exhibit their stands.
During the open day at the Armored Weaponry Museum, the Poznań branch of the Military Property Agency (Agencja Mienia Wojskowego – AMW) will be promoting its offer, including equipment and accessories withdrawn from the army, which can be purchased in the store run by the AMW.
