Belarus has reduced pumping oil through the Druzhba pipeline to Poland due to “unplanned maintenance”

Belarus cuts oil shipments to Poland and Germany! “Due to unplanned maintenance works on the Unecha-Mozyr section of the pipeline in Belarus, oil pumping to Poland and Germany will be reduced until Thursday morning,” PERN reported.

“PERN has been informed by Transneft that due to unplanned maintenance works on the Unecha-Mozyr section on the Belarusian side until tomorrow at 10 a.m. oil pumping to Poland and Germany will be carried out in a slightly reduced regime,” the company said in today’s announcement.

The company assured that “the Polish oil system is fully secured and operates continuously”.

Today, Tadeusz Giczan, a Belarusian journalist, informed about the situation on Twitter.

PERN is a state-owned entity, strategic for Poland’s energy security, responsible for pumping petroleum via pipelines – from Russia via Belarus – to domestic refineries: PKN Orlen in Płock and Lotos Group in Gdańsk, as well as to two refineries in Germany.
