The Russian airstrike, which was carried out in the morning in Ivano-Frankivsk in western Ukraine, targeted the airport, said the mayor of the city Ruslan Martsinkiv. The authorities of Lutsk in the Volyn Oblast have informed about the attack on an airfield near the city.
“The explosions occurred at the airport. Stay calm,” called Martsinkiv.
Authorities are trying to find out why the air attack warning system didn’t work.
