This year Poles are also keeping their fingers crossed! One of the titles nominated for the award is “Dress” – a film of Polish production directed by Tadeusz Łysiak.
Cinematographer Janusz Kamiński, who is nominated for an Oscar for the best cinematography for the film “West Side Story”, also has a chance for the golden statuette. The Pole is a two-time Oscar winner for Steven Spielberg’s films “Schindler’s List” and “Saving Private Ryan.”
