On Friday, April 22, the gala of professional boxing, Tymex Boxing Night 21 “The Silesian Blow” will take place in the hall “Hala na Skarpie” in Bytom. In the fight of the evening, Damian Jonak fights against the British, Andrew Robinson, followed by former World Champion Ewa Brodnicka and Tomasz Gromadzki.
In 2019 and 2021, Damian Jonak (41-1-2, 21 KO) fought a spectacular duel with Andrew Robinson (26-5-2, 7 KO). In the first match, which took place in the Katowice “Spodek”, the referees scored points in favour of the British. Last year, the confrontation in Radomsko ended with a draw. In both duels, there were many impressive blows and sudden twists.
“In Bytom, my hometown, I will finish the trilogy with Robinson. I’m going to end this episode with a victory, and I’m going to fight in a symbolic place that is sentimental to me. In the past, in the Szombierki building, where the hall is located on the slope, I trained and learned boxing, under the tutelage of Mariusz Wołosz, the current mayor of Bytom,” said Damian Jonak in an interview with the portal silesia24.
Ewa Brodnicka (20-1, 2 KO), former European Champion and former WBO World Champion will also perform in Bytom. Her last boxing match was in March 2021, when she defeated Bulgaria’s Milena Koleva on points at the Gala in Dzierżoniowo.
