Father Radek Rakowski of the Church of the Holy Name in Poznań has launched a 24-hour “NanoChapel,” accessible through a mobile app. Worshippers can enter the chapel using the Fibaro app and are greeted by a GPT-powered AI assistant, available to guide them in prayer and scripture.
AI Integration for Spiritual Guidance
This innovative concept allows users to access the chapel at any time of day. The AI assistant is particularly useful for the elderly and visually impaired, reading aloud passages from the Bible and answering theological questions. Father Rakowski sees this project as a way to bridge faith and technology, creating a space for both prayer and community-building.
Beyond private prayer, the NanoChapel offers a communal aspect. Visitors can gather for conversation, with the AI even assisting in coffee-making. The app allows younger generations to connect and work on collaborative projects within the chapel, fostering a new kind of religious community.
