The president of TV Republika, Tomasz Sakiewicz, commented on the selection of Przemysław Czarnek as Law and Justice (PiS) candidate for prime minister. “A real gamechanger,” he said, pointing out that Czarnek may be able to build broad support on the right side of the political scene.
During the Law and Justice (PiS) convention at the Polish Gymnastic Society ‘Sokół’ in Kraków, Jarosław Kaczyński indicated the party’s candidate for the office of prime minister in the upcoming parliamentary elections. The nominee is Przemysław Czarnek. In the same venue, Law and Justice (PiS) previously announced its presidential candidates: Andrzej Duda and Karol Nawrocki.
Sakiewicz: “A real gamechanger!”
After the prime ministerial candidate was announced, TV Republika president Tomasz Sakiewicz gave an immediate comment on TV Republika.
“A real gamechanger,” Sakiewicz assessed. “Indeed, Law and Justice (PiS) has probably carefully examined its potential electorate and chose a candidate who may win back a significant portion of the right-wing electorate,” he added.
“A strong, well-prepared, well-delivered speech (…) This is a clear shift of the lever,” Sakiewicz pointed out, referring to specific elements of Czarnek’s address – including those concerning Germany and Ukraine. “In the narrative that Czarnek has adopted, it is clearly visible what will stand out in this campaign, and it will likely also become a topic for regaining ground on the right,” said Sakiewicz.
