Proton is a 12-year-old purebred Arabian horse. This extraordinary gift was sent from Poland to the Holy See. It arrived in the Vatican as a present for Pope Leo XIV from a stud farm in Kołobrzeg-Budzistowo.
During the Wednesday general audiences, guests of Pope Leo XIV try to commemorate their visit and often bring gifts. The Holy Father has already received an electric vehicle that he can use around the estate in Castel Gandolfo, as well as a white bicycle.
According to Magdalena Wolińska-Riedi, Rome correspondent for Polish media, this time an exceptional gift arrived at the Vatican. It was Proton, a 12-year-old grey stallion bred at the Janów Podlaski Stud Farm.
The purebred Arabian horse led by the Pope looked magnificent.
