Absurd from the Prosecutor’s Office! Will CPAC Poland 2025 Guests from Around the World Be Summoned? Sakiewicz: “They will embarrass Poland”

TV Republika received a letter from the prosecutor’s office, which requested, among other things, a full list of approximately 1,000 participants of the CPAC Poland 2025 conference, which took place in Jasionka near Rzeszów. This would mean that they intend to interrogate politicians from the United States, including one of Donald Trump’s closest collaborators, Kris Noem, as well as participants from Japan, Germany, and many other countries, and even agents of the U.S. Secret Service. “The level of madness of the current authorities, especially the judiciary, has reached its peak”, Tomasz Sakiewicz, president of TV Republika, commented in an interview with Niezalezna. He highlighted the absurdity of the situation and warned of a potential embarrassment for the Polish state.

On May 27, 2025, the first CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) for conservative circles in Poland took place in Jasionka near Rzeszów. The co-organizer of the major event, which was attended by numerous guests from Poland, the United States, and many other countries, was TV Republika.

The success of the conference became a thorn in the side of the current ruling camp. One of its members, a councilor from the Podkarpackie region representing the Civic Coalition, filed an absurd report with the prosecutor’s office alleging a supposed crime committed by the Podkarpackie Regional Board, which had been involved in organizing the event.

As part of this investigation, TV Republika received a letter from… a prosecutor in Rzeszów. He requested the full recording of the conference, lists of participants and speakers, and more.

“In connection with proceedings conducted by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Rzeszów regarding the exceeding of powers by members of the Podkarpackie Regional Board, consisting of unlawfully spending funds from the Podkarpackie Regional Government budget to finance the CPAC, which took place from May 26 to 27, 2025, in Jasionka, Podkarpackie, and thereby harming the public interest – i.e., a crime under Article 231 §1 of the Penal Code pursuant to Article 15 §3 of the Code of Criminal Procedure – I kindly request the transmission to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Rzeszów of: the full recording of CPAC from May 26 to 27, 2025, in Jasionka, including in particular materials promoting the Podkarpackie Region, produced by TV Republika S.A. (on electronic media); lists of participants and speakers who took part in CPAC from May 26 to 27, 2025, in Jasionka, Podkarpackie, upon invitation from TV Republika S.A.; full details (name and address) of the entity from which TV Republika S.A. obtained the rights to use the “CPAC” brand for the purposes of organizing the Conference, which took place from May 26 to 27, 2025, in Jasionka,”

wrote Prosecutor Jarosław Kulczycki, demanding the materials within a week of receiving the letter.

Tomasz Sakiewicz, president of TV Republika, commented on this situation in an interview with Niezalezna:

“The level of madness of the current authorities, especially the judiciary, has reached its peak. The prosecutor’s desire to interrogate invited guests shows that they have no idea of the scale of the event in Rzeszów. Representatives of the largest conservative organization in the United States, CPAC, were present, led by Matt Schlapp, the U.S. equivalent of a Polish interior minister, Kris Noem, as well as leading representatives of the conservative world, including from Germany, such as a former head of German intelligence services. There were also guests from Japan, who want to organize a similar organization at home. There was no region of Poland or the Western world whose representatives were not hosted by Podkarpackie at that time”,

the station’s president emphasized.

He drew attention to the risks of providing the full list of over 1,000 participants. Among them were key figures in the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump, including the Secretary for Homeland Security, Kris Noem.

“We cannot provide lists of all guests because the American delegation was accompanied by, among others, Secret Service agents. Disclosing their data could result in serious security consequences for these individuals and also harm international relations with Washington”,

Sakiewicz explained.

“If prosecutors intend to interrogate participants of this event, starting with the most prominent guests, they will only embarrass the Polish state”,

he added.

It is worth recalling that similar ideas had appeared earlier – it was suggested that the U.S. administration would have to explain the presence of the head of BBN, Prof. Sławomir Cenckiewicz, in discussions in the Oval Office at the White House. Commentators asked whether the prosecutors Korneluk and Żurek would summon President Donald Trump.

Benefits worth millions

The president of TV Republika emphasized that the accusations against local authorities are also unfounded.

“Podkarpackie caught its second wind after the pandemic and the war in Ukraine. The presence of CPAC Polska in Rzeszów is enormous promotion for the region. It is an opportunity for development and attracting foreign business. Major television networks around the world gave the conference airtime worth tens of millions of dollars”,

Tomasz Sakiewicz stressed.
