    Two Polish start-ups included in Lufthansa Innovation Hub

    Two Polish start-ups, Hyper Poland and Blinkee.city, have been placed on the prestigious list of Lufthansa Innovation Hub among global projects aimed at transforming transport, reports Rzeczpospolita daily.

    The investment of the domestic railroad operator will increase next year by 30 pct.

    PKP PLK, the Polish railway infrastructure manager, plans to increase the value of its investments by 30 percent in 2020 to some PLN 14-15 billion (EUR 3.28-3.52 billion).

    101st anniversary of Powstanie Wielkopolskie – the Greater Poland uprising

    Official celebrations of the 101st anniversary of the Greater Poland uprising took place today in Poznań. The fighting broke out on December 27th 1918 following the visit of Ignacy Jan Paderewski who motivated his fellow countrymen to rise up to the German occupying forces. The main celebrations took place by the statue commemorating the insurgents.

    Pope prayed for the victims of the typhoon

    At least 13 people died in the Philippines after a tropical typhoon struck the islands on Christmas eve. While rescue authorities launched a search and rescue operation, Pope Francis in Vatican prayed for the victims.
