    Andrzej Kraśnicki Honored with Poland’s Grand Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta

    Former President of the Polish Olympic Committee (PKOl), Andrzej Kraśnicki, received the Grand Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta from President Andrzej Duda on Friday. The prestigious award ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace. The honor recognizes Kraśnicki’s exceptional contributions to the Polish Olympic movement, his dedication to promoting Poland internationally, and his efforts in fostering global sports collaboration.

    A Legacy of Leadership

    Kraśnicki led the Polish Olympic Committee from 2010 to 2023 and held several prominent international roles. He was a member of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) Executive Committee, a European representative in the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC), and served on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Council. His influence extended beyond Poland, leaving a significant mark on international sports governance.

    His earlier roles included serving as President of the Polish Sports Confederation (2003–2005) and the Polish Handball Federation (2006–2021). Kraśnicki also chaired the Polish Olympic Team during multiple Olympic Games, exemplifying his unwavering commitment to advancing sports excellence.
