Border security is defended… by citizens. Mentzen sharply criticizes: Why is Tusk protecting German interests?!

“Why is entry into Germany guarded by the German police, while entry into Poland is guarded by ordinary Polish citizens? Where is our state when it’s actually needed?” – writes Sławomir Mentzen, one of the leaders of the Confederation party, in a series of social media posts. He goes on to criticize Donald Tusk, who had previously promised to “get to work.”

In recent weeks, reports have been coming in from various Polish towns about illegal migrants roaming the streets — or being placed in facilities completely unfit for their stay, such as children’s homes, where foreigners behave disruptively and try to impose their own rules.

While the Polish government fails to act to protect the safety of Poles from the influx of migrants, a grassroots group called the Border Defense Movement has taken matters into its own hands. This growing movement of patriots regularly shares updates about situations where intervention has been necessary.

Last night marked the first instance of a citizen’s arrest. A group of four illegal migrants from Eritrea attempted to enter Poland — but were stopped by Poles associated with the Border Defense Movement.

Mentzen to Tusk: Where is our state?!

The opposition has repeatedly called on the government to introduce controls at the Polish-German border, just as Germany has done. Yet no action has been taken, and the increasing number of migrants crossing into Poland has become an unfortunate norm.

Sławomir Mentzen, in a series of posts, pointed out the shortcomings of Donald Tusk’s administration in dealing with the growing issue of illegal immigration.

“The Polish Border Guard should be protecting our border with Germany — to stop them from offloading migrants onto us. Instead, they are helping the Germans ensure that migrants don’t cross from Poland into Germany, effectively assisting them in pushing migrants toward us. The Border Guard isn’t acting on its own — it’s following orders from Tusk’s government. The only question is: why is Tusk looking out for German interests rather than Polish ones?” — reads one of his posts.

Mentzen also reminded readers of Tusk’s own words from a few weeks ago, when the Prime Minister said it was “time to get to work” — despite the fact that his government has been in office for over a year and a half.

“When Tusk said a month ago that the government was finally getting to work after losing the elections, I never imagined that ‘getting to work’ meant spreading Giertych’s conspiracy theories and helping Germany dump migrants onto Poland,” wrote the Confederation MP.

Mentzen again asked: “Why is it that German police guard the entry into Germany, but ordinary Poles guard the entry into Poland? Where is our state when it’s needed?”
