    Celebrating the Birthday of President Andrzej Duda

    Today, on May 16, 2024, Poland’s President Andrzej Duda celebrates his birthday, marking yet another year of active engagement on the Polish political scene.


    Born on May 16, 1972, in Krakow, Andrzej Duda embarked on his journey, beginning with his years in the 5th Krakow Scout Troop “Piorun” named after the Legionnaires of 1914, where he soon became a troop leader. After concluding his scouting adventure, he continued his education at the Jan III Sobieski High School in Krakow. Subsequently, in 1991, he commenced his studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Jagiellonian University, earning his master’s degree in February 1997.

    Following the completion of his master’s degree, he pursued an academic career at the Jagiellonian University, obtaining a doctoral degree in law in 2005. Meanwhile, in the spring of 2005, he established his own law firm. His political involvement commenced after the parliamentary elections in 2005 when he became an expert in legislation for the Law and Justice Parliamentary Club. He then served as the Deputy Minister of Justice and Undersecretary of State in the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland.

    Andrzej Duda also served in the Sejm and the European Parliament, garnering significant support in elections. Since 2015, he has held the office of President of Poland, being elected to this position both in 2015 and 2020. His political journey has been filled with challenges and successes, and his birthday serves as a perfect opportunity to reflect on his achievements and express appreciation for his service to Poland.
