Join the 6th annual bike rally honoring the 80th anniversary of the Świętokrzyska Brigade, a key WWII Polish unit. Cyclists will ride from four counties to Lasocin.
A Star-Shaped Rally to Honor History
On Saturday, August 10th, a significant commemorative event will take place as cyclists gather to honor the 80th anniversary of the Świętokrzyska Brigade of the National Armed Forces (NSZ). Organized by the Starostwo Powiatowe in Kielce, in collaboration with nearby counties and municipalities, this bike rally is the sixth of its kind, drawing participants from Jędrzejów, Końskie, Włoszczowa, and Kielce. Each group will depart from their respective locations, following different routes that converge at Lasocin—the historic site where the Brigade was formed during World War II.
Cyclists Unite for a Patriotic Journey
Kielce’s group, setting out from the iconic Bartek Oak in Zagnańsk at 9:00 AM, will embark on a 50-kilometer journey. Along the way, cyclists will visit WWII memorials, paying tribute to the heroes who fought against both German and Soviet forces. The ride culminates around 3:00 PM at the forest clearing in Lasocin, where a patriotic ceremony and communal bonfire will welcome participants, fostering reflection and unity in honoring Poland’s storied past.
