Czarzasty Attacks Trump Again. U.S. Ambassador Responds

“This man is a menace. The aim of his inflammatory rhetoric disparaging President Donald Trump can only be to damage U.S.–Poland ties, and weaken his own country,” said Tom Rose, the U.S. Ambassador to Poland. The American diplomat was commenting on another attack by Sejm Speaker Włodzimierz Czarzasty on President Donald Trump.

Czarzasty Attacks Trump Again. Ambassador Rose: “This man is a menace”

Włodzimierz Czarzasty has once again attacked U.S. President Donald Trump. In an interview with the “Financial Times,” he stated that the American leader “is becoming a leader of chaos” and added that “in many cases, Trump’s behavior is absolutely irrational.”

He also criticized the visit of U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance to Budapest, during which he supported Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s bid for re-election.

“JD Vance spoke a great deal about freedom and non-interference in another country’s democratic processes, but what he did [in Budapest] was exactly the opposite,” said Czarzasty.

The Speaker’s remarks were met with a response from U.S. Ambassador to Poland Tom Rose. “This man is a menace. The aim of his inflammatory rhetoric disparaging President Donald Trump can only be to damage U.S.–Poland ties, and weaken his own country. Perhaps as a notorious far-left, ex-communist apparatchik, we shouldn’t be surprised,” the diplomat stated.

Severing Ties with Czarzasty

In February this year, U.S. Ambassador Tom Rose announced the immediate severance of all contacts with Czarzasty, citing, among other reasons, the Speaker’s refusal to support a motion to award the U.S. President the Nobel Peace Prize. The ambassador pointed out that “outrageous and unjustified insults directed at President Donald Trump have seriously damaged our excellent relations with Prime Minister Tusk and his government.”
