    EU Commissioner Thierry Breton visited Poland: “I’m here — together with PM Morawiecki and Deputy PM Blaszczak — to support ramp-up of EU defence industry”

    Today, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense Mariusz Błaszczak met with the EU Commissioner for Industry and Internal Market, Thierry Breton, at Zakłady Metalowe Dezamet S.A. in Nowa Dęba. “I’m here — together with PM Morawiecki and Deputy PM Blaszczak — to support ramp-up of EU defence industry”, said EU Commissioner Thierry Breton.

    The subject of the talks is the production capacity of the The Polish Armaments Group (PGZ) entities and the issue of joint EU ammunition orders.

    During his visit to the EU countries, Breton explores the possibility of expanding defense production within them. So far, he has been in the Czech Republic, France, and Bulgaria.

    In Poland, the meeting took place at Zakłady Metalowe Dezamet S.A. in Nowa Dęba. The product range of the company includes mainly various types of artillery, mortar, and grenade launcher ammunition.
