Former Vice President of the European Parliament Eva Kaili was alleged to have admitted in testimony before a Belgian court that she knew about her partner’s corrupt activities. In addition, she allegedly instructed her father to hide suitcases of money located in her home. Kaili was dismissed last week and is currently in custody over a corruption scandal involving lobbying for Qatar.
