Andrzej Duda, the former president of Poland, has joined the supervisory board of the Polish fintech company ZEN.com, sometimes referred to as the “Polish Revolut.” He personally confirmed this information in an interview with Puls Biznesu.
After completing his long career in public service, Duda explained in an interview with Puls Biznesu that he now wants to use his experience to support the development of technologies and innovations that have a tangible impact on the economy.
“After years of public service, I want to use my experience to support the development of technologies and innovations that have a real impact on the economy,” he said. ZEN.com, sometimes called the “Polish Revolut,” according to its founder, should not be viewed solely through the lens of payments. In an interview with Business Insider Polska, Dawid Rożek said that his goal is to encourage those who are hesitant about online shopping to give it a try. He also wants to provide users with a sense of security – especially those who worry that the ordered phone might arrive in the wrong color, that audio equipment might not be compatible with their device, or that a tablet could be damaged, for example, by falling into a bathtub.
Why did the former president choose to collaborate with this particular company? As he explained in Puls Biznesu, Polish banks already offer very good digital services, but ZEN.com goes one step further. He compared it to the difference between traditional mobile phones and smartphones – it’s about creating a comprehensive, intuitive financial ecosystem, not just a collection of separate services. Therefore, as he said, he encourages the company’s management to think not only about young users but also about his own generation, which is becoming increasingly comfortable in the digital world and expects modern yet user-friendly solutions.
Duda also emphasized that he shares responsibility for overseeing that ZEN.com remains an institution of the highest level of security for its customers. He noted that he sees his role within the company’s advisory and supervisory bodies and that in the future, he may also join the supervisory boards of other institutions.
Andrzej Duda served as the President of the Republic of Poland from mid-2015 to mid-2025. After completing his second term, he began, among other projects, hosting his own program on Kanał Zero, owned by Krzysztof Stanowski.
