“There is Nawrocki, Duda is gone, sorry, that’s just how it is. If representatives of the governing camp complain that they have poor relations with the president, then they should simply try harder,” said today the former President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda.
This afternoon, a meeting will take place at the Belweder Palace between the President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, and his predecessor, President Andrzej Duda. One of the topics of the discussion will be the former president’s book – “To ja, Andrzej Duda“.
Speaking on Radio Zet, Duda admitted that he sometimes advises President Karol Nawrocki.
“I have a rule that I only advise President Karol Nawrocki on matters he asks me about. It is very pleasant, because the president sometimes calls me just to ask how I am doing, which is very touching. As for the matters between us [what he asks me about], please forgive me, but I cannot say what the president asks me about. He sometimes asks about various issues simply to get oriented, but he treats me like any of his advisers, listens to the advice and implements some of it, and not others,” he stated.
Asked about the upcoming Nawrocki-Tusk meeting, Andrzej Duda assessed that “such meetings need to take place from time to time.”
“I also did not meet Prime Minister Tusk very often. It is known that we were politicians from two different political camps. Perhaps the prime minister says that [they had better relations than they now have with Nawrocki]. There is Nawrocki, Duda is gone, sorry, that’s just how it is. If representatives of the governing camp complain that they have poor relations with the president, then they should simply try harder,” he added.
