Polish Radio Information Agency (IAR) stated that several hundred German soldiers would be coming to Poland during the upcoming week to serve for the Patriot air defence system located in the southeast region.

Polish Radio Information Agency stated that troops will be deployed in Poland due to an agreement that was authorized by President Andrzej Duda.

The Germans will be located in the Lublin area of southeast Poland, IAR informed.

It was determined that Patriot missiles should be placed in the region after a tragic incident occurred in December when a Ukrainian defence missile was launched in an attempt to repel a Russian air assault, and it ended up hitting the village of Przewodow in southeastern Poland, causing the death of two individuals.
