German Police Officers Assault Poles. Sakiewicz: “I Call on People to Gather Outside the German Embassy”

“As the grandson of a Polish soldier murdered in Auschwitz, I call on everyone to gather today at 8:00 p.m. outside the German Embassy in Warsaw. The Gestapo has its successors among today’s officers,” said TV Republika President Tomasz Sakiewicz. In response to the incident, the station’s management decided to stop broadcasting advertisements from all German companies.

German Police Attack Members of the Border Defense Movement

Members of the Border Defense Movement (Ruch Obrony Granic, ROG) traveled to Berlin carrying a cross they intended to place next to a memorial stone commemorating Polish victims of World War II. However, German police arrived at the scene and prevented them from erecting the cross.

The volunteers sang the patriotic song Rota and then peacefully proceeded with the cross toward the memorial site. At that moment, German police officers moved against the Polish participants. They allegedly forced them to the ground, kicking and punching them. Another group of officers reportedly seized the cross and threw it aside without showing due respect.

Demonstration Outside the German Embassy in Warsaw

TV Republika President Tomasz Sakiewicz has called on supporters to take part in a demonstration outside the German Embassy in Warsaw as an expression of opposition to the conduct of the German officers. The gathering is scheduled for today at 8:00 p.m.

“Just moments ago, German police attacked activists of the Border Defense Movement who wanted to place a cross at a site where this post-Nazi state mocked six million Polish victims by erecting only a stone memorial. There are injured people and many detainees,” the head of TV Republika stated.

“As the grandson of a Polish soldier murdered in Auschwitz, I call on everyone to gather today at 8:00 p.m. outside the German Embassy in Warsaw. The Gestapo has its successors among today’s officers,” he added.

The head of TV Republika also announced that the station’s management had decided to remove all German companies from its advertising inventory.

“We call on all media outlets and everyone who opposes Nazism to do the same,” he added.
