Iga Świątek continues her climb up the WTA rankings. After her victory on Saturday in the Grand Slam tournament at Wimbledon, the Polish star has moved up from fourth to third place in the ranking of the world’s top female tennis players. Her final opponent, American Amanda Anisimova, has broken into the top ten for the first time in her career, landing at No. 7.
Świątek claimed the Wimbledon title in under an hour, winning 6–0, 6–0, and secured her first-ever victory at the prestigious London tournament. This marks the sixth Grand Slam title in the Pole’s career.
Sabalenka remains at the top of the WTA rankings
Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka continues to lead the WTA rankings with a nearly 5,000-point advantage over second-placed Coco Gauff. Świątek is 856 points behind the American. Jessica Pegula, also from the U.S., has dropped to fourth, while Russia’s Mirra Andreeva has moved up two spots to fifth – the highest ranking so far in the career of the 18-year-old.
Among other Polish players, Magdalena Fręch has maintained her 24th position, while Magda Linette has risen from 29th to 28th. In the “Race to the WTA Finals” ranking – which determines the eight participants for the season-ending tournament in Riyadh – Sabalenka also leads and has already secured her spot.
