How Does Tusk Explain the Humiliation by “Allies”? You Won’t Believe It!

Donald Tusk refuses to back down, claiming that his visit “alongside” European leaders was a success. He published a post on social media that sparked another wave of commentary—largely negative.

Tusk in Kyiv

Humiliation before the eyes of the world—that is how Tusk’s visit to Kyiv can be summarized. He appeared in the Ukrainian capital alongside the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, the Chancellor of Germany, and the President of France.

It was supposed to appear “European,” “effective,” yet it turned out that the head of the Polish government was treated like a “fifth wheel.” This is evidenced by photos, videos, and tabloid headlines, which—even in the case of the German press—did not acknowledge Donald Tusk’s presence at all.

Tusk’s New Post

Tusk must have felt offended by the fact that… the so-called allies—who are evidently keen to push the United States out of Europe—treated him in such a manner. Consequently, he posted on social media, which only fueled a spiral of ridicule. But also of concern—after all, Tusk was representing the Polish state.

“Do you hear the howling? Excellent! It’s loudest in Moscow and on Nowogrodzka Street. I wonder why?”

 — he wrote, reposting a photo showing, indeed, all the politicians who visited Kyiv.

What did he hope to achieve by posting this? A good question. The effect, however, is certainly the opposite of what was intended.

“What are you talking about… They couldn’t care less about you. You’re cropped out of the photos, left out of the videos, and the German Chancellor literally points where you should stand so as not to be in the way. That’s your ‘Emperor of Europe’ image.”

— wrote Konrad Berkowicz.

Tusk measures his success by who is ‘howling.’ Or perhaps he’s simply afraid of answering difficult questions: where are the war reparations from Germany? Why does he agree to the migration pact? Why is Berlin more important than Warsaw? Instead of listening to Poles, he insults them. Arrogance instead of responsibility.

— commented MEP Arkadiusz Mularczyk.

Donald Tusk is the most eminent, most influential, and most beloved statesman of global stature. Emperors, kings, princes, the pope, prime ministers, a chancellor, a sultan, and Klaudia Jachira all compete for a moment of his time and attention. A true pride!

wrote Bogumił Noga-Gąsiecki on X.

“First, they sent you in a different train car so you wouldn’t be in the way. Then Merz sent you back to the train when serious discussions began. And you actually boast about this? Are you seriously proud of that? You couldn’t possibly have embarrassed yourself more. With your submissive stance, you shame not only yourself but, more importantly, Poland!”
