– Using intelligence data, the Israeli Defense Forces monitored activities at a new location, removing a key component of the Iranian regime’s capability to develop nuclear weapons – the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) announced this evening.
In a post on social media, the IDF reported a “strike on a nuclear weapons development site.”
– The secret “Minzadehei” complex was used by a group of nuclear scientists who were working on the development of a key component of nuclear weapons. Using intelligence data, the Israeli Defense Forces tracked activities at the new location, removing a key element of the Iranian regime’s ability to develop atomic weapons – the statement said.
An animation attached to the post indicates that the complex was located on the outskirts of Tehran, the capital of Iran.
Yesterday, Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Reza Najafi, said that a nuclear facility in Natanz, in central Iran, had been hit as a result of U.S. and Israeli military operations. However, this information has not been confirmed by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi.
Grossi stressed that the IAEA has no information indicating that any Iranian nuclear facility has been struck by U.S. or Israeli forces. He added that the agency remains in limited contact with Iran.
On Tuesday, the IAEA reported that satellite images showed some damage to entrance buildings at Iran’s underground uranium enrichment facilities in Natanz, but it does not expect any radiological consequences.
