Had it not been for the tragic accident on April 23, Łukasz Litewka would have celebrated his 37th birthday today. During the night, his partner, Natalia Bacławska, published a post that has become one of the most moving farewells in recent months.
“I was consumed by complete darkness — a place I never wanted to look into,” she wrote, adding that “this dull silence is eating me alive from the inside.”
It was today, May 9, that Litewka would have celebrated his birthday. Natalia recalled the last surprise party they organized for him on February 1. At the time, she told him that the most beautiful gift was time — something he never seemed to have enough of. Today, those words sound like a farewell.
“Time, which was more precious to you than gold. Time that has come to an end…” she wrote.
Later in the post, she admitted that she searches for him “in every breath, every rustle of the wind, every birdsong.”
“You were always my home,” she added, emphasizing that after his passing, only silence remained — a silence she cannot come to terms with.
Her post is an intimate letter to the man she loved — filled with pain, but also tenderness.
“As always, my love, I wish for you to be peaceful and happy. You were always a guardian angel, and you always will be,” she concluded.
