“The German model of European development, to which the Polish economy is closely tied, is now collapsing! We must stop the ETS system and build a sovereign, Polish model of development,” argues former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
In a video posted on social media, Mateusz Morawiecki warns that the German model based on mass exports of industrial goods and the automotive sector to the U.S. market, and previously also to China, is coming to an end.
Data published by the Federal Statistical Office in Wiesbaden last November shows that exports fell by 2.5% compared to the previous month, while imports increased by 0.8%. “The foreign trade surplus has therefore shrunk to €13 billion,” said the former Prime Minister.
