This morning, ahead of the Sejm session, Jarosław Kaczyński, leader of Law and Justice (PiS), faced a barrage of questions regarding the controversy over Karol Nawrocki’s apartment. The head of the largest opposition party dismissed the issue briefly, stating, “There’s nothing wrong with it.” A TVN24 journalist also came under fire.
For days, the media has been consumed by the story of Karol Nawrocki’s apartment, his neighbor’s role in the presidential candidate’s affairs, and the so-called “interview” with a woman described as “Mr. Jerzy’s caretaker.”
Kaczyński: “There’s Nothing Wrong Here”
Jarosław Kaczyński, the PiS chairman, was questioned about the matter this morning in the Sejm. Right away, he asserted that “there’s nothing wrong with this situation.”
The leader of the largest opposition party then faced a series of follow-up questions, including whether he regrets his party’s endorsement of Nawrocki as a presidential candidate.
“I don’t regret it in the slightest,” came the reply.
Another question concerned the explanations given by Nawrocki’s campaign team and the candidate himself. Kaczyński again brushed it off, saying, “They are completely plausible.”
The PiS chairman also clashed with a TVN24 journalist who suggested the explanations were “contradictory.” Kaczyński shot back, “There’s no contradiction at all.”
“You’re making things up—you’re political operatives!” he added.
