Kaczyński on the Photo That “Must Not Be Distributed.” Nawrocki’s Campaign Chief to Be Sued Over It

An employee of Gazeta Wyborcza has announced plans to sue MP Paweł Szefernaker (PiS) “for blatant intellectual property theft and copyright infringement.” The entire situation has been commented on by the leader of Law and Justice (PiS), Jarosław Kaczyński, who displayed “a photo that absolutely must not be distributed.”

Karol Nawrocki’s campaign chief had approached Gazeta Wyborcza’s photo agency to purchase the rights to use a certain image in campaign materials. “We were denied the possibility of buying this photo. What do you think is wrong with it?” asked Paweł Szefernaker on Twitter. He also posted the image—marked with a watermark—from Gazeta Wyborcza’s photo agency. The photo shows Rafał Trzaskowski in a rainbow-themed setting.

Later, Gazeta Wyborcza journalist Bartosz Wieliński stated that the editorial team in Czerska “is taking legal action in response to the blatant theft of intellectual property and copyright infringement committed by Paweł Szefernaker, a PiS MP and campaign chief for Karol Nawrocki.”

Today, PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński commented on the case:

“The essence of the Civic Platform is lies—they deceive Poles at every step. Today, this concerns the true views and sympathies of Rafał Trzaskowski, including his support for groups seeking to demoralize children. And the representatives of Gazeta Wyborcza who are threatening Paweł Szefernaker with lawsuits are proof of the censorship used to uphold this lie. Below, as a warning, is the photo that absolutely must not be distributed.” – wrote Kaczyński.

Of course, the above-mentioned photo must not be distributed, but in Niezależna.pl’s database, we found several images with a similar theme—Rafał Trzaskowski at the 2021 Equality March. Enjoy!
