Polish presidential candidate Karol Nawrocki vows to cut electricity prices by 33% in 100 days. PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński backs the plan, calling it essential for Polish households.
Nawrocki’s Bold Energy Plan
Karol Nawrocki, a presidential candidate in Poland, has pledged to cut electricity prices by 33% within the first 100 days of his term. Speaking in Augustów, he criticized the current government’s policies, blaming rising energy costs on the Green Deal. His proposed “Prąd 33%” plan aims to alleviate financial burdens on Polish households and businesses. Nawrocki suggests financing the reductions through revenues from EU ETS carbon tax auctions, redirecting funds to support citizens rather than environmental policies.
Kaczyński: “Nawrocki Understands the People”
PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński has endorsed Nawrocki’s initiative, emphasizing its importance for ordinary Poles. He stated on platform X, “A crucial concrete step from Dr. Karol Nawrocki: the ‘Prąd 33%’ plan—electricity bills reduced by one-third! The civic candidate understands everyday struggles, unlike the ruling party, which is only interested in amateur ping-pong.” Kaczyński’s support highlights the opposition’s stance against the government’s energy policies, positioning Nawrocki as a leader who prioritizes citizens’ economic well-being.
