Karol Nawrocki Proposed to Donald Trump a Permanent U.S. Base in Poland in Exchange for Joining the Peace Council

Karol Nawrocki reportedly made a proposal to Donald Trump for Poland to join the Peace Council being established by the U.S. president. In return, a permanent U.S. military base would be established in Poland.

According to findings, the purpose of the agreement is “to strengthen the defense of Poland and the entire eastern NATO border.”

For now, details of the proposal regarding the number of military personnel who could be stationed in Poland are unknown. Currently, there are around 8,500 U.S. soldiers in Poland, but their presence is not permanent.

President Nawrocki initially declared that he “would like to sign the document concerning the Peace Council.” He emphasized, however, that the matter must go through the full legislative process in parliament.
