Keeping men out of women’s sports. Trump Signs Executive Order

President Donald Trump signed the executive order “No Men in Women’s Sports Executive Order,” on Wednesday, fulfilling one of his key campaign promises to exclude biological men from women’s sports.

The executive order was signed on National Girls and Women in Sports Day, a day that celebrates female athletes and those who strive to ensure equal access to sports for all women. Before signing the order, Trump stated:

“The radical left has waged an all-out campaign to erase the very concept of biological sex and replace it with a militant transgender ideology. With this executive order, the war on women’s sports is over.”

The signing ceremony in the East Room of the White House was attended by Independent Women ambassadors, including Riley Gaines, an outspoken advocate for protecting biological women in sports. Mark Trammell, executive director of the Center for American Liberty, praised the order as a significant step in defending female athletes, emphasizing that fairness in sports must be based on biological differences.

Upholding Title IX Protections

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt underscored that the order aligns with Title IX, a federal law prohibiting sex-based discrimination in education. She stated that the policy reflects the administration’s commitment to restoring common sense and fairness in sports. Leavitt also called on the Senate to pass the Protecting Women and Girls in Sports Act, which the House of Representatives recently approved. The legislation would reinforce protections for female athletes by preventing biological males from competing in girls’ sports. This move signals a broader effort to uphold competitive integrity and safeguard opportunities for women in athletics.
