Wonderful atmosphere, exceptional guests and unique Laurus Poloniae 2023 awards. On Thursday was the first gala of our portal, at which prominent people were given awards in gratitude for promoting Poland and Polishness.
On Thursday, 20 April, an exceptional gala of the Poland Daily 24 portal took place at the Olympic Centre in Warsaw, during which special awards – Laurus Poloniae 2023 – were handed out for the first time.
The Poland Daily 24 portal awarded outstanding Poles who, by their behaviour and their person, stand up for Poland and everything concerning our country.
The CEO of the company and editor-in-chief of ‘Gazeta Polska’ and ‘Gazeta Polska Codziennie’ – Tomasz Sakiewicz – pointed out that Polish history is being made here and now every day.
“Proper understanding and interpretation of phenomena are fundamentally important for our future in Europe and in the world. The English-language portal is our window to the world, a mailbox from which we send out verified, valuable, interesting information about our country.”
This wonderful evening was honoured by the performance of the band – Riverboat Ramblers, as well as by the presence of Krzysztof Sobolewski, Secretary General of the Law and Justice party, who read a letter on behalf of the President of the Law and Justice party Jarosław Kaczyński.
Minister Arkadiusz Mularczyk received Laurus Poloniae 2023 for his immense contribution to promoting Poland and the Polish cause internationally. Including coordinating and producing the Report on the Losses Sustained by Poland as a Result of German Aggression and Occupation during the Second World War, 1939-1945. On behalf of the Minister, the award was received by Dr Jacek Rosa.
Anna and Wojciech Stanczak, custodians of the late Lech Kaczynski Institute, also received the award for their contribution to promoting and maintaining the memory of the late President Kaczynski.
Polish forests and the people who protect them received special recognition at the annual awards ceremony. Józef Kubica, Director General of the State Forests, was honoured for his tireless commitment to the preservation of the country’s natural heritage.
The award was accepted on his behalf by Michał Gzowski, the State Forests spokesman. Through their dedication and hard work, Kubica and Gzowski have shown their deep commitment to the preservation of what makes Poland unique. This recognition is a testament to the importance of their efforts and will no doubt serve as an inspiration to many.
The editorial team was thrilled to award their dear friend, Marek Świderski, for his unwavering loyalty and hard work. Marek’s tireless help, support and kind words have been invaluable to the team and they couldn’t have asked for a better friend. He has always been there for them and they are grateful for his presence.
