At the same time, it constitutes one of the most effective instruments for counteracting illegal migration and safeguarding state security and public order. The operation involved the European Border and Coast Guard Agency (Frontex), which acted as the coordinator, provided operational and financial support at every stage, and maintained contact with all participants, including the Georgian authorities.
