LOT Welcomes New Boeing 737 MAX 8 to Its Fleet

On May 16, LOT Polish Airlines added a new Boeing 737 MAX 8 to its fleet. This aircraft, registered as SP-LVN, was greeted with a water salute upon landing in Warsaw after flying from Seattle via Keflavík.

    Strengthening the Route Network

“The new aircraft will enhance our existing route network,” said Robert Ludera, Director of Route Network Office at LOT. “We will receive two more this summer, and eight more in 2025.”

    Fleet Expansion and Future Plans

This addition is the first of eleven ordered. Following the bankruptcy of Blue Air, LOT acquired six similar aircraft in 2023, bringing their current MAX fleet to 12. With all contracted deliveries, LOT will operate 22 Boeing 737 MAX 8s, thanks to a partnership with Air Lease Corporation.

    LOT’s Market Position

LOT Polish Airlines, connecting Central and Eastern Europe with the world, offers direct long-haul flights to destinations like the US, Canada, India, Japan, and South Korea, primarily using Boeing 787 Dreamliners. Established in 1929, LOT is the 12th oldest airline globally and a prominent Polish brand.
