Mysterious Ukrainian Assistant of Donald Tusk from a Beauty Salon

The appointment of Kristina Voronovska, an employee at a Warsaw beauty salon, as a social assistant to Donald Tusk in May 2024 has sparked curiosity and speculation online. Social media reveals that Voronovska frequently visited the Tricity area, particularly Sopot, before the recent elections, adding fuel to the ongoing discussion.

Currently, Tusk, the former Prime Minister of Poland, has two social assistants: Patrycja Czerska, who previously worked in Marcin Kierwiński’s parliamentary office, and Kristina Voronovska, employed at the “Dream of Beauty” salon in Warsaw and at the Civic Platform’s National Office. According to the salon’s website, Voronovska is a “cosmetology graduate, passionate about skin anatomy, specializing in eye and eyebrow styling and beautification techniques.”

The role of social assistants includes privileges such as unrestricted access to the parliament. As outlined in the “MP Employer’s Guide,” social assistants support parliamentary activities without being official office employees and perform their duties voluntarily, without remuneration. Hence, Voronovska’s position as an assistant does not imply she is Tusk’s personal beautician.

The question remains: Why is a Ukrainian citizen with Voronovska’s professional background serving as a social assistant to a Polish political leader? Her frequent pre-election visits to Sopot and Tricity raise questions about their connection to her appointment. Was her hiring influenced by these visits, or is it mere coincidence? To find answers, one would need to ask Tusk directly.
