On April 25, the NSZZ “Solidarność” National Commission informed that after five months of negotiations, a government-Solidarity agreement was possible.
“Yesterday, a several-hour-long meeting took place between Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and Chairman Piotr Duda. The parties have identified which of the eight negotiation areas can be concluded with an agreement and have outlined the path to reaching compromises on those where consensus has not been reached,” was stated at the time.
The decision to authorize the Chairman of the National Commission to sign the agreement indicates progress in the negotiations between the government and the NSZZ “Solidarność” trade union. The details of the agreement and its potential impact on labor and social issues will be closely watched as they unfold in the coming days.
