NATO Chief Visits Warsaw with a Strong Warning: “If Anyone Attacks Poland…”

“If anyone attacks Poland or any other ally, our response will be devastating. This must be clear to Mr. Putin,” stated NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte during a press conference in Warsaw.

Rutte arrived in the Polish capital today to meet with key Polish leaders, including President Andrzej Duda. Shortly after noon, he held a joint press conference with Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

During the conference, Rutte highlighted Poland as a model NATO member, noting that Warsaw allocates nearly 5% of its GDP to defense spending.

“The transatlantic partnership is the backbone of our alliance,” he emphasized.

Polish President Andrzej Duda has repeatedly urged NATO members to increase defense spending, a stance echoed by former U.S. President Donald Trump, who has acknowledged Poland as a key U.S. ally.

Rutte also issued a stark warning to those who might miscalculate NATO’s resolve.

“If anyone attacks Poland or any other ally, our response will be devastating. This must be clear to Mr. Putin and anyone else who might consider attacking us,” he stressed.

He further warned that “Russia remains a serious threat to the North Atlantic Alliance and is shifting toward a wartime economy.”
