Firefighters stated that the blaze involved shipping containers at 2 Bakalarska Street that had been converted into service outlets. As of Saturday morning, the fire had not yet been fully brought under control. Heavy smoke spread and penetrated neighboring containers located in the immediate vicinity of the fire’s source, which has hindered firefighting efforts.
At least five fire brigade units are operating at the scene, including a municipal operational group, with additional units en route. Firefighters are working under conditions of limited visibility due to dense smoke.
The smoke is substantial and is moving across the Włochy district toward Ochota. As a result, services have appealed to residents to keep their windows closed in order to limit the inflow of smoke into apartments. At present, there is no information about any injured persons.
