    Outstanding Polish actor – Leonard Pietraszak – has died

    Leonard Pietraszak, an outstanding film and theatre actor, has died. This was the information released by the Union of Polish Stage Artists (ZASP).

    “It is with great regret and sadness that we inform you that Leonard Pietraszak – an outstanding theatre, film and television actor, a long-time member of our association – has passed away. Always helpful, kind with great sensitivity. He was not only a great artist but above all an extremely good man. He created many unforgettable theatrical and film roles for which audiences adored him. His passing is a great loss to Polish culture. Farewell Friend, we will miss you very much,”

    the Union of Polish Stage Artists informed on Facebook. 

    “Leonard Pietraszak – an outstanding theatre and film actor – has died at the age of 86. Wide audiences remembered him for his outstanding impersonations of Dr Karol Stelmach in “Czterdziestolatek” or Gustav Kramer in the cult “Vabank” and “Vabank II,”

    the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage wrote on Twitter.
